Another successful completion of the UVATS/RATS Masterclass held on February 24-25, 2025, in Lisbon, Portugal. This event is another step forward in the on-going collaboration between Reach Surgical and UMICS Academy, reinforcing our commitment to advancing minimally invasive surgery through world-class education and groundbreaking innovation.
This latest masterclass welcomed 21 highly skilled surgeons across Spain, Germany, Greece, Poland, Belgium, Turkey, the UAE, and Malaysia. The participants had the opportunity to expand their knowledge under the expert guidance of esteemed instructors Prof. Dr. Diego Gonzalez Rivas and Prof. Dr. Javier Gallego Poveda, MD, PhD, FETCS, FACS, FESC.
Over the course of two action-packed days, surgeons were engaged in a comprehensive program, which combined in-depth theoretical sessions with live surgical observations and hands-on practice. They gained valuable insights during live surgeries observations at Hospital LusÃadas Lisboa. The surgeons then moved on to hands-on cadaveric training, where they refined their newly acquired techniques, using Reach Surgical’s latest surgical solutions.
A key component of the Masterclass was the hands-on experience with Reach Surgical’s advanced surgical solutions, allowing the surgeons to explore these innovations designed to enhance surgical precision, efficiency, and patient outcomes. Surgeons had the opportunity to work with the iReach Magnum powered stapler, featuring a 55-degree articulation and robust compression capabilities, the iReach Omnia with its specialized 30mm reload for effective vessel sealing, and the Sound Reach SR7 ultrasonic shears, known for their precision-driven technology that enables secure sealing of vessels up to 7mm.
